August 20, 2011 5th Annual
The 5th annual Brunswick Outdoor Arts Festival takes place on the sidewalks of Maine Street and on the adjacent town Mall on August 20 from 9-5.  Thousands of visitors will take advantage of the sunshine and the wonderful atmosphere on this special day in town.  Beginning with only 39 artists, the event has expanded in scope every year and has had a greater audience, each year.

Designed to celebrate and foster an appreciation of the arts and to showcase Brunswick as a wonderful cultural destination, there are more than 90 juried artists and artisans featuring painting, sculpture, mixed media, graphics and drawing, photography and fine crafts.

This year we have over 100 artists, demo artisans, and musicians performing.  There will be Cajun (10-12pm), Swing (12-2pm), & Blue Grass (2-4pm)at the stage area in front of Bank of America. Numerous roving musicians will perform on the street.  David Bullard will host a Singer Songwriter performance at the Gazebo on the mall from 12-3pm.  Several youth theater groups will perform throughout the day.  There are many  activities for young people throughout the day, including Hula Hooping on the mall with Amanda Walden of Spin Art.  All are welcome to try to Hula!!!.  The Shelter Institute will be raising a barn frame and providing an opportunity for visitor participation.
