Baxter Brewing Holds Free Tasting in Portland

Baxter Brewing Holds Free Tasting in Portland

Back in December, I was one of the privileged few who got to taste the first public batches of beer from Lewiston's own Baxter Brewing Company. Now you can get a free taste of the newest Maine brewery's offerings too. Just head down to Downeast Beverage on Commercial St. in Portland on Thursday, March 31, 2011 from 5pm - 8pm.

*UPDATE: The tasting at Downeast Beverage scheduled for Thursday March 31 has been postponed. Here is the statement from Baxter Brewing's Facebook Page: "Unfortunately our tasting at Downeast Beverage tomorrow had to be postponed (date TBD). We'll keep you posted and are sorry for the inconvenience!"

And, for my first post here on Around Town, I thought I'd share a post I wrote after that December tasting, posted on Part Time Vagabond.
