Comedy Fix to benefit Good Shepherd Food Bank | Events
Brian Brinegar will make his return to Auburn, highlighting a stellar lineup of stand-up comedians for Comedy Fix XVIII. The show will take place Friday, Jan. 9 at 8 p.m. at the Auburn Fireside Inn with net proceeds benefiting Good Shepherd Food Bank (GSFB).
Comedy Fix founder Mark Turcotte will also welcome Brian Plumb, Anna Conathan, John Randall and Brett Groh.
Brinegar, who can be seen sleeping at his desk during the day, is originally from Los Angeles and has worked with Last Comic Standing winner Iliza Shlesinger. He was featured on the Comedy Time Network and has performed at the Comedy Store in Los Angeles and the Ice House in Pasedena. Brinegar was also thrice named Maine’s Best Comedian by the Portland Phoenix.
Plumb is from Massachusetts and performs throughout the Northeast. He’s opened for nationally touring comedian Paul Mercurio and has played New York City’s Greenwich Village Comedy Club, Helium Comedy Club in Buffalo and the Comedy Connection in Providence, RI.
In her pre-parenting days screenwriter Anna Cranage Conathan tore it up in comedy clubs in New York and Los Angeles. After a lengthy maternity leave she makes her return to the stage in Maine.
Randall is a newcomer on the Portland scene and recently competed in the Funniest Comic on the East Coast Contest at Mohegan Sun. He also wrote, produced and acted in the comedy short “Christmas Craig”.
Groh is the founder and host of Local Laughs, a monthly showcase of New England’s top talent at the Asylum in Portland.
