LEWISTON, Maine (NEWS CENTER) - For the third consecutive day, the Portland Pirates surrendered seven goals as they were on the wrong end of a weekend sweep, 7-4 to Manchester.

After taking 4-1 lead two minutes into the third on Tobias Rieder's power play goal, the Monarchs responded with six unanswered tallies.

Chris Brown started the scoring just 1:25 into the game for his ninth goal of the season.  Brandon McMillan completed a well-executed dump-and-chase with Darian Dziurzynski and Phil Lane at the 14:19 mark.  Manchester would pull to within a goal just 69 seconds later when Sean Backman beat Louis Domingue glove side.  Pirates leading scorer Andy Miele rounding out the goals in the first with his team-high 19th courtesy of the power play.

The Monarchs would make it a game by scoring two goals before the second intermisson before completing the comeback in the third with four more goals.

Portland (16-19-2-7) will play their next four games on the road, starting Wednesday at Binghamton.
