Lisbon - Lisbon Area Christian Outreach's (LACO) spaghetti and lasagna supper at Holy Trinity Church in Lisbon Falls of Saturday, May 19 was a huge success, according to Carol Day, LACO Board Director.

Lisbon  – Only days after the end of school at Lisbon High School, members of the Class of 2014 met on Friday, June 15 to discuss their class participation in the annual Lisbon Moxie Festival on Saturday, July 14.  Students will be hosting the ever popular Duck Pond (made famous by Lisbon Rotary) for Moxie goers to take a chance fishin’ for a duck and win a stuffed critter and selling water to thirty attendees.  The festival kicks off on Friday, July 13 with fireworks, continues with a parade on Saturday starting at 10 a.m.

Lisbon – Lisbon High School Interact member, Emma Wilson, recently introduced a new community service project to the club, Project LinusProject Linus is a national volunteer organization providing blankets to children going through difficult times.  Named after the adorable blanket-toting character made famous in the Peanuts comic strip, blankets from Project Linus provide children with love, security, warmth and comfort.

 

On Friday, June 15, Interact students, Lisbon adult and junior volunteers, and members of the Lisbon School Community gathered together to prepare blankets for distribution by Project Linus.  Locally, the Androscoggin/Oxford County branch of Project Linus has provided blankets to St.

Lisbon – Kyle Priddle, a member of the Lisbon High School Class of 2012, and treasurer of the school’s Interact Club, attended a recent L-A Rotary meeting.  Priddle was an invited guest of Rotarian and Interact Advisor, Monica Millhime.  Members of the LHS Interact Club voted to contribute a $100 check to Lewiston- Auburn Rotary in support of Rotary’s international project for Polio Eradication.  The donation was made possible through the Interact Club’s WCSH6 Teens Who Care $2,000 Award.  Students completed 21 local projects and contributed over 4,000 hours of community service.  “We are extremel
