Programming Note: The Saturday Today Show is not on NBC's schedule due to President's Cup golf coverage beginning at 8:00am. Two NBC programs for children, Turbo Dogs and Shelldon will be running earlier at 7:00am and 7:30am before golf begins. The Today Show will be back tomorrow and run as normal next Saturday.

Bicycle Coalition of Maine Launches “Community Spokes” Program

The Bicycle Coalition of Maine has named 12 people from throughout the state as Community Spokes to lead advocacy efforts for bicycling in their local areas.

Party in Pink™ Zumbathon® charity event, benefiting Susan G. Komen for the Cure®

Party in Pink™ Zumbathon® charity event, benefiting Susan G. Komen for the Cure®

Zumba Fitness and Susan G. Komen for the Cure® have teamed up for the global Party in Pink™ movement to raise awareness and funds for breast cancer research and community outreach programs. Breast cancer is the leading cause of cancer death among women worldwide.

Girl Power Fitness will hold a Party in Pink Zumbathon charity event, benefiting Susan G. Komen for the Cure, from 12:30 p.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 29, at the Silver Spur in Mechanic Falls. There will be local vendors displaying and selling products and services, as well as food and a few special surprises. There will be three hours of Zumba, from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. Instructors from all over Maine will participate. Tickets will be available for $25 at the door.

If you're anything like me, you really love summer & hate to see it go, but you welcome fall with open arms! There is so much to do in Maine in the fall.
